Most bookkeeping apps assume you are sitting down.
You are not. There is a customer paying cash and another one waiting, your hands are wet, and the moment to record that two hundred dirhams lasts about four seconds. An app that needs a category picker and three taps does not get used, and a ledger nobody feeds is worse than no ledger at all.
So Leora measures itself on one thing: how much of the money that actually moved made it in on the day it moved. Not features. Not dashboards. Capture.
What it actually does
Hears more than one thing at a time
“Sold a pizza for ten, then bought tomatoes for twelve” is two records, not one confused one. You check them with a swipe and confirm the batch together.
Works in a basement with no signal
The recording is written to your phone before anything is sent anywhere. It syncs when there is a connection — hours later, days later — and the audio is kept until it has, however long that takes.
Shows its work before it commits
Every value Leora guessed is on screen and changeable in one tap before it becomes a record. Anything it was unsure about is marked — as an invitation to glance, not an error to clear.
What Leora asks for, and why
You can create a Leora account with an email address and a password, or with Sign in with Google. Choosing Google means you do not need another password, and it is the only reason Leora requests anything from your Google Account.
What Leora receives
- Your email address — it identifies your account and is where account and support messages are sent.
- Your name, if your Google profile has one — so the app can address you rather than showing a raw address.
That is the whole list. Leora requests only the basic sign-in scopes, and nothing marked sensitive or restricted by Google.
What Leora never receives
- Your Google password. It is never sent to us and we could not see it.
- Your Gmail. No access to any message, ever.
- Your contacts, Drive, Photos or Calendar. Not requested, so not granted.
You can withdraw Leora's access at any time from your Google Account, and delete your Leora data from inside the app.
The privacy policy sets this out in full, including every company that processes data on our behalf and how long each kind of record is kept.
Your books are yours.
Recordings are transcribed and then discarded — we keep no copy of your audio. Your records are locked to your account in the database itself, not merely in the app, so another Leora user cannot read them even by asking directly.
Everything exports to CSV whenever you want it, and deleting your account removes every business, transaction and transcript we hold. Both are one screen away, and both are permanent.
